: a turret, window, or balcony designed to command an extensive outlook

The name Mirador was chosen to highlight our company’s ability to offer a broad and strategic perspective to the process of documenting and sharing intellectual property through recorded sound.

We believe that all business boils down to an exchange of value, and in our industry, such value is found not only in the integrity of sound provided but in the guidance and support offered throughout the recording process.

Welcome to Studio A–Mirador! We are a full service, audio recording and production company that services both the music and business communities.

Founded in 1995, Studio A–Mirador is the result of an amalgamation of two companies--
Studio A–Audio Professionals, and Mirador Productions- after a successful three year collaboration.

“What does Mirador mean?”

In 1996, we opened our present facility, a spacious and comfortable 2600 square feet unit in the Huron Business Park in south-west Kitchener. Our large live room is ideal for recording live-off-the-floor bands, acoustic ensembles, even small choirs; and our adjacent iso-booth provides exceptional sound separation for multi-track recordings.

No project is too large or too small. We offer exceptional service from personable, professionally trained people who take pride in working with a variety of recording projects. So whether you're a band recording your first demo, or a multimedia company looking for professional post-production support, we are a proven resource in the Kitchener-Waterloo community and beyond.

Common music applications include:
• Karaoke-style or a cappella vocal demos;
• Audition tapes for small to mid-side acoustic ensembles and instrumental soloists;
• Band demos, self-produced EPs and radio-quality, full length albums for
independent recording artists.

Common corporate or non-music applications include:
• Radio commercials, and voice overs for various multimedia formats;
• Educational training and development programs,
• "On-hold" phone presentations,
• Tele-conference call recording;
• "Audio business cards”.

We also offer transfers between a wide variety of audio recording formats including audio cassette, mini-disc, micro-cassette, hi-fi VHS, hi-8 Tape, 1/4 inch reel to reel, and CD.

So whether you’re recording to entertain, inspire, motivate, educate or direct your audience, we promise outstanding audio quality and informed assistance throughout each stage of the production, including the final manufacturing your product onto CD, CD-ROM or DVD. We offer custom replication from glass masters for the highest quality of media manufacturing available. We also provide a number of related services including graphics design, printing and packaging.
